Often, I wonder as to why I need so many words to define me! Well that’s me.

Someone who likes to try everything under the sun and keep people around me entertained. As a speaker, this is what I tell my audience - “If you are passionate about what you do and if you make your workplace a fun-place; then you don’t have to worry about a work-life balance”.

Gokul is an Electronics and Communications Engineer from Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (Madras University) and a MBA in HR from XIME, Bangalore. He has been working for the last two decades in the areas of Human Resource Management and Organization Development.


Senior Vice President, HR Head - MphasiS

Gokul is currently associated with Mphasis as their Senior Vice-President. He heads their global Business HR function managing 20000 employees spread across 15 countries. Prior to MphasiS, he was a part of the management team of Tata Business Support Services.

Gokul has worn multiple HR hats and has managed Global Compensation & Benefits, Staffing, HR Operations and Learning functions. He has been a part of Human Resource Audits, Due Diligence, Post-Merger integration, and several ERP implementations. He has played an active role in the Six Sigma projects, People CMM and Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) assessments. He is popular amongst the HR fraternity and is a regular speaker in HR conferences and management institutes.

Founder Trustee of “The Social Catalyst”, a non-profit trust. The purpose of this trust is to support smaller NGOs who are struggling to sustain their good work due to various external factors

Member of Tamil Nadu Cycling Club and as a proponent of eco-travel and going-green; participated in three 1000 KM Tour of Tamilnadu to promote the cause of cycling.

An active alumnus of his alma matter; Past President of Alumni Association of SVCE and XIME.
